Centennial of Donald C. Brooks

Prescient California writer

This website presents writing of Donald Craig Brooks (1922-1992).  A successful engineer and public servant; patriot; amateur geologist; musician; and life-long science-fiction fan, he started writing fiction at a young age, wrote numberless government reports, and started his first non-fiction book in retirement. Mr. Brooks was prescient:  he could take a scientific fact or idea and see where it led so well that he predicted many things decades before they happened, such as climate extremes, gender equality, computing efficiency, AI. His writing, from the 1950s to the 1990s, is also a time capsule of currents in science and science fiction of his day. We are sharing some of his works free-of-charge so that you may be amazed, entertained and informed.
